… YOUR CHILD INSIDE KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ADVERNTURIDE AND A PEDALING WORKOUT
Are you a trike rider? Just watch the face of anybody pulling in, returning from their 1st trike test ride. See the heart-felt smile of their inside child brimming from ear to ear.
Or, maybe you take spinning classes or perform upright roadwork to exercise your body? Most become tired trying to deal with mental boredom and physical discomfort awareness. No pain … no gain, right?
… HUMAN MIND AND BODY ARE DESIGNED TO WORK TOGETHER
Since our ancient ancestors first coordinated how to best use their physical capacity to toss a spear at a wild mastodon or how today’s martial artist concentrates mind-into-body to assure the proper technique to use their hand to break a block of concrete, humans have put their minds into what their bodies are attempting.
Without mental awareness being preoccupied with the mind-taxing upright blues questioning which side of your butt to shift to or with issuing the motor command to shake out numbing fingers, you come to realize that all your discomfort is related to how your thigh muscles are pounding or how you’re running short of breath.
After repeated trike rides setting your tolerance limits to this new awareness , you find that it’s not long before your quads and hamstrings adapt to their calling. Your butt, back, neck and fingers ride in comfort. Your thighs and breathing become conditioned and the prior aching just fades away to support your rhythmic pedaling cadence.
Over time the cumulative effect of this mind-into-body synchronicity will have you converting 5, 10 or 20 mile upright rides into a more enjoyable 15, 20 or 40 mile trike ride.
With the extended riding times and increased blood flow through your brain, insightful thinking can take over. This allows you to slide into deep thought if riding solo or into more creative insightful conversation, riding 2 abreast while chatting with a friend.
A more defined focus on reality’s cause/effect relationships will surface from that subtle level of your deeper consciousness as enriched wisdom. It may become necessary for a triker to pull over in the next shaded spot along their adventuroute to write down newly brewed insights … which was part of the life cycle of this particular post.
Your life awareness improves. Your quality of life improves.
So, it’s easy to see, the adventure bone really is connected to the pedal bone.
